We want you to feel at home at Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Marshall. Although a person can be a part of EPC without becoming a member, we feel strongly that church membership has a special significance. For several reasons:
  1. It multiplies spiritual power and practical effectiveness through the support you receive from Christians.
  2. It acts as a safeguard in your spiritual growth, as you submit yourself to spiritual leaders, whom the Lord has placed over you.
  3. It gives you a much greater sense of identity as a Christian, demonstrating the oneness there is among believers in Christ.

An Inquirers Class is offered several times a year during the Sunday school hour for those interested in examining basic Christian beliefs. During this five-week course, particular attention is given to the person and work of Jesus Christ, what it means to be a follower of Christ, how to live for Him, and the distinctives of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. At the completion of the class, those who with to become members of the church may request to do so.

Following the completion of these classes, you then communicate (either to the pastor or one of the elders) your desire to unite with us. At that time, you meet with the elders to share testimony of your faith in Christ. You are then commended to the church for both affirmation and support.

There are thee ways to join EPC of Marshall: by Letter of Transfer, by Reaffirmation of Faith, and by Profession of Faith.
