On the 3rd Monday of each month at 7 P.M., the Men of the Church meet together for a time of fellowship, complete with a meal and a guest speaker. Each meeting is planned by the deacon "on duty" that month, and men of all ages are encouraged to come, whether they are members of the church, guests, friends, relatives, or total, absolute strangers. This is a great opportunity to get to know other men in our body of believers, hear a life-changing testimony, view a presentation of a recent mission trip, or hear a message on any number of other inspiring topics.

The Men of the Church host an annual Men's Retreat in conjunction with our sister churches in Texarkana, Waskom, Elysian Fields, and Shreveport. Many men will tell you that "true fellowship" can only be obtained at 1 A.M. on the basketball court! All kidding aside, this is a refreshing time to get away from life for a weekend and focus on Christ with other men of faith.

Young men in the church meet monthly at the home of Jeremy Anders for breakfast, devotions and discussion. Breakfast possibilities are usually limited to bisquits and toppings, but discussion topics are boundless. This is an encouraging and invigorating time of comradery for young men.

Men of the Church are also those diligent souls who are to be thanked for keeping the church grounds manicured. Lawn crews rotate during the summer for weekly weeding, trimming and mowing duties. If you would like to join a lawn crew, please contact Dan Moore.

"Although we are exceeding sinful, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, the preciousness of whose blood, the merit of whose righteousness, and the greatness of whose love and faithfulness overtop the highest mountains of our sins."
— Jonathan Edwards
